Lilah's 7th Birthday!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILAH!
This year, Lilah had a party at the local Michael's store.  IT WAS AMAZING!  The price was great and the best part....NO CLEAN UP!  Lilah invited friends to help her celebrate her special day and they all painted on canvas, did a melty bead design, ate cookie cake and helped Li to open her birthday gifts.  Miss Taylor, who works for Michael's, was an amazing coordinator for the party.

Getting ready to draw their design and paint!

The kids did a fantastic job!

Matt likes Grandma Carol's "froo-froo" Peacock iPhone case!

Wyatt even painted!

Lilah did a fantastic job, too!

Jasmijn and Myrthe
(Wyatt has his own name he calls the girls.  "Main" for Jasmijn and "TaTa" for Myrthe.  It is so cute!)

Wyatt REALLY LOVED painting

Look at all the beautiful artwork!

Melty Bead Time.  There are plastic tray designs (circle, start, heart) with little pins sticking up that the children set beads on, using any color they'd like. Once they've filled up the tray, they take it to Miss Taylor and she places a plastic sheet on top of it and irons the beads down onto the plastic sheet.

Chase did a great job on his melty bead!

This is social time - everyone whip out your iPhone!

Lilah asked her friends to help her blow out the candles.

This is Marielle's first time ever having cookie-cake, therefor, the number one!

EVERY gift Lilah received she loved.  Already, we've created a lot of art projects that are so much fun!

Wyatt got to walk around the store a few times - this is what he found.

Lilah had her friend, Vandy, spend the night.  It was a great night.  The girls watched the movie, Muppets, and had popcorn.  WHAT A GREAT DAY!

Wyatt even watched with them!

Thank you to everyone who helped and who came!  You really made a great day even more special for my little 7 year old!  (It's hard to believe she is 7 already!!)

OH, and a side note...In Lilah's classroom there are only January birthdays...
ALL THREE ARE JANUARY 17th!!!!  WHAT ARE THE ODDS!?!?!

Microcar Museum

In Madison, Georgia there is a museum that houses MANY microcars.  Unfortunately, the owner is closing shop in February and will sell/auction off EVERYTHING.  We drove the hour and half distance and Grandma and Papa met up with us.  We had a lot of fun.  Afterward, we went out to eat at an amazing place - I'm thinking it is worth the long drive!

Matt and the kids are checking out some mini microcars for sale.

One side of the museum.

These things actually work!  I'd love to have one to scoot around in the neighborhood, but they sit so low, it'd be crushed in the main streets.

Great Grandma and Lilah

You don't see these "music box thingy-ma-jigs" anymore.  This one is beautiful!

I think the owner of this museum was/is the owner of Dubble Bubble.  This little shop was closed/roped off, but it was really neat to look inside.

The walls were lined with signs.
(Instead of Where's Waldo, Where's Wyatt?)
Hint: He is on someone's shoulders

This little thing was modified to be a FAST little thing.

Wyatt kept pointing and saying, "Get you!"  The waiter would come up and tickle Wyatt and say "Get you"

Grandma and Papa, thank you for joining us.  We had a great time!  We love you!
